At my dream art retreat, I would be learning from everyone around me. We'd all be experimenting with paint and ink and stencils and stamps, maybe even some metal, and have a bit of time to get outside for inspiration. I would take home a journal that would be a sweet reminder of a special time and people.

My favorite way to jump start is to create an awesome background with my favorite spray inks. I wet the paper down, spray , add salt & let the paint "move" by spraying more liquid. Let dry, sit back & let the piece talk to me.

at my dream retreat it would last for a month, be in a foreign country, have at least 30 of my favorite instructors, with all the newest supplies and of course be free......you said it was a dream right??

I would love to work on painting, acrylics or watercolor at my dream retreat. I live in the Austin area and wish I could afford to go to the retreat!

I would love to collect things from nature and incorporate them into a collage!

I would love to learn the fine art of layering. I don't seem to know when to stop or when to add just a bit more, especially those clunky items.

A start-to-finish project. I love learning new things, but sometimes get bogged down trying to complete something that gets home undone.

Sigh. I was so sorry to miss you this weekend as I was partying in Cleveland for a family wedding.

With all these lovelies (and a few more bits) I would paint a lovely holiday piece. That glitter calls for a snow scene or angels or something incredibly sparkly!

At my dream art retreat I am playing with glue, learning a variety of transfer ways and up to my elbows in paint! Oh, wait! That's every time I go into the studio! But it's still my perfect retreat -- because the best part is doing it with new friends.

At my dream art retreat I'd be going on nature and safari excursions, traveling to foreign lands to join other creatives in art workshops!

My dream retreat would be close to home and would include classes on my bucket list and phase 2 of classes I've already taken
